Prices
- Cost: $180 for a one-hour session (includes both individual and couples therapy).
- After-Hour Fee: An additional $20 applies for sessions after 5 PM, on weekends, or outside standard hours.
- Session Duration: All sessions are 60 minutes.
Cancellation and Missed Appointment Policy
Effective: November 2024
At Sydney Wide Counselling Service, we value your time and consider every appointment important. Late cancellations and missed appointments impact others who could have used that time. Cancellations are always appreciated over no-shows.
Cancellation Policy
- 24+ Hours Notice:
Clients can cancel via the Cliniko app or message us directly. - No Shows
- Full Fee: $180
Reminders
Appointment reminders are sent via the Cliniko app (email or optional SMS). These reminders are a courtesy; clients are responsible for remembering their appointments regardless of whether a reminder is received.
Exceptions
Cancellation fees will only be waived for:
- Medical emergencies requiring urgent treatment
- Death in the family
- Natural disasters
Prepaid Packages
Missed or late-cancelled sessions from prepaid packages count as used.
Payment
Cancellation fees are payable via credit card, e-transfer, or PayPal. Receipts are marked as "cancellation fee" or "missed appointment" and cannot be claimed as "counselling sessions" for insurance purposes.

In-Person, Phone, and Video Sessions
60-minute Session - $180
A standard session for those seeking a focused therapy appointment would be great for addressing concerns within this timeframe. This is the most popular session length.
75-minute Session - $250
Perfect for clients who need more time to express their concerns without feeling rushed. This session length provides extra time for goal setting, planning, or crisis intervention if necessary. Subject to availability and by special arrangement with Sydney Wide Counselling.
